Konami Creating New Layton-esque Game for the 3DS
Konami has launched a teaser site (via 4Gamer.net) for Doctor Lautrec and the Knights of Oblivion, a new “adventure” game coming to the Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2011. Set in Paris during the 19th century, the doctor and his assistant Sophie will “search for mysterious caves” beneath the city.
Early screenshots don’t give many hints as to how this “adventure” will play, but the artwork so far all seems to ape the style of the popular Professor Layton series. There’s also the game’s European setting and the fact that the lead character is a professor (Lautrec is an archaeologist) who has a young assistant.
