Matt Shakman to Direct TriStar’s ‘The Phantom Tollbooth’ Adaptation
The live-action/hybrid adaptation of Norton Juster’s classic kids’ book is scripted by Michael Vukadinovich with a rewrite by Phil Johnston (Wreck It Ralph 2). Shakman, artistic director of the Geffen Playhouse, was EP of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for five years and directed two episodes of HBO’s George R.R. Martin adaptation Game of Thrones.

Joseph Kahn Reveals Concept Art & Animation Test from His ‘Justice League Dark’ Pitch
Kahn pitched designs for the in-and-out of development live-action project two years ago — the character concepts are developed using that faces of actors like Dan Stevens, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Natalie Dormer. The film currently has no director attached, but does have a screenplay from Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange). In the meantime, WB released an animated direct-to-video feature this year!

61st BFI London Film Festival Program Announced
