RedBox Expanding Game Rental Kiosks

As the war has raged between BlockBuster, Netflix, and GameFly, a startup named Redbox has been quietly creeping in to steal business from all three. Now the company is planning to expand its games rentals, after experimenting with the game-ready kiosks in select markets. Joystiq reports that games will move into “thousands” of its locations, though with a total of 23,000 machines nationwide that still might not include one near you.

Game rentals cost $ 2 for one day. You’ve probably already seen the machines sitting unsuspectingly in your local grocery store, pharmacy, or gas station. But if you want to make sure your local box includes games, you can search the company Web site with your zip code to be pointed in the right direction.
