It was a combative week of TV clips. Reality shows feuded, as Maks and Len got into it on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and David Arquette ignited a ‘DWTS’ vs. ‘X-Factor’ beef by using Simon Cowell’s personal toilet. Beavis and Butt-Head’ made their triumphant return to MTV, and gloriously set their idiotic, satirical sights on their home network’s reality shows.

In other news, Regis Philbin kicked off his farewell tour by stripping for Snooki, and President Obama stopped by the ‘Tonight Show’ to compare the Republican field to ‘Survivor’ contestants.

Few things are as entertaining to watch as an egomaniac TV dance pro getting into a fight with an old man. ‘Dancing With the Stars’ dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy took some shots at judge Len Goodman this week after Len gave Maks and Hope Solo’s dance bad reviews. Maks suggested Len should retire and also said “This is my show. I help make it what it is.”

President Obama stopped by ‘The Tonight Show,’ where he cracked a few jokes on the Republican field, comparing them to contestants on ‘Survivor’ who had yet to be voted off the island. The guy’s ability to look presidential while subtly ripping his opponents to smithereens remains impressive.

‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ returned to MTV after a 14-year hiatus, and it was really great to see them back again, especially when they were ripping on the networks slate of addictively ridiculous reality TV shows like ‘Jersey Shore’ and ’16 and Pregnant.’ These times demand biting satire wrapped in an idiotic package.

Speaking of ‘Jersey Shore’ and things that are ridiculous, Snooki stopped by ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ to talk about her new book, and brought Regis a gift-bag on Guid-tastic goodies. When she presented him a zebra-striped tie, he naturally responded by taking off his shirt. Some thought he looked surprisingly fit for an 80-year-old man, while others thought he looked like a raw chicken. Regardless, it is the month of Regis, y’all.

Finally, David Arquette told ‘Chelsea Lately’ that the root cause of a feud between ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and ‘The X-Factor’ is that Arquette took a duece in Simon Cowell’s personal toilet. There is something oddly poetic about that. At least Arquette is bothering someone other Courteney Cox now.
